Time Management Seminars - Simple Ways to Double Your Productivity Now

1. Learn to prioritize your daily activities

The first thing you should do when you wake up is to write down the daily tasks you need to complete in order of priority and according to your long-term goals that you have planned for yourself. This helps to keep the more important things first and enable you to focus the most effort and energy on what is really important than all the nitty gritty things that are mentally draining and taxing. You may also try to write down these tasks the previous day before you go to sleep rather than on the day itself for better results.

2. Start the day off right

The mood that you start the day off actually sets a kind of momentum for the rest of the day. If you spend your first 30 minutes of the day being bogged down by troubles and problems or negative things, chances are you will lose more and more momentum as the day goes by and with each task you do. Therefore it is much better to start the day off by focusing on tasks that require most of your efforts, energy and focus, and this will also help you to only leave easier and less dreadful tasks to complete for the rest of the day, leaving little chance for you to procrastinate.

3. Developing a strong sense of urgency

Don't be the kind of guy that always put off things to do later, thinking that these things are not that important to start doing now. It may not seem like some of the things are important to you at first, but over time these little things do pile up and it may end up growing into a big snowball too big for you to handle. Time is precious and the time you wasted not doing the tasks you need to do can never be recovered, and scrambling to do everything at the last-minute is not a healthy way to do things. Developing a strong sense of urgency will also help you to complete your tasks much more efficiently.

4. Set aside recreational time for yourself

It is inevitable to face stress at work, but you can try to minimize the stress you are facing. Learn to be 'selfish' at times and set aside some personal time for yourself to do the things you enjoy doing. This can be as simple as just setting 20 to 30 minutes of your time everyday to meditate, read a good novel you enjoy, or even just watch some funny videos on YouTube.
