Time Management:
Time Management Training - How to Manage Yourself in Time

In my latest article, I wrote about a serious issue in your home business, the ability to focus! With all distractions and surrounding temptations, your output many times differs from your expectations.

But there are ways to improve your results and make your working hours much more efficient. It is a matter of managing yourself in time!

In order to become more focused it's essential to make a time management plan for your working week and do a detailed schedule of all your moneymaking and educational activities. But before you can make a weekly breakdown, you have to set up a goal for your business. It has to be a measurable goal correlated to your business. It can be the number of customers, leads or just simply earned money. Even better if your goal is something that you expect to happen after gaining success, like a new house, car or similar. After writing down your goals it's easier to calculate what it takes in monthly and weekly efforts to reach your goal. It is now time to make a more detailed breakdown of a business week.

If you're a part time home business entrepreneur, you also have to plan your regular work hours. Make a detailed plan on when and with what activity you will work with every hour. Reserve time for Twitter, time for Google, SEO, learning videos and so on. And one thing that is a MUST in your work; check your email at specific times, preferably just once a day. Email and cellphones are the worst distractions and time thieves.

In order to stay focused and alert, you also need to be very determined with your breaks. Make a short break every hour and also keep your lunch and dinner times at the same time each day. Remember to share your time management schedule with your family. If they are not aware of your planning, you will be disturbed by changes and get annoyed which then will lower your efficiency. But most important regarding your family, don't forget that you also need quality time with them. Schedule time every day for your kids, your spouse and social activities. Also schedule time for personal development. Working as an Internet Entrepreneur takes some special skills, and you have to work on your mindset and leadership improvements.

These time management tips may sound a bit overkill for some, but if your plan is to become successful online, there are no real shortcuts. Focus and determination is what makes the difference! See you at the top!
