Many of us have the problem that there is not enough hours in the day, you look at the clock once and when you look again hours have passed and you haven't got anything done! It is frustrating and in a busy world you need to manage your time successfully to get anything done. By managing your time you can be granted many more opportunities in the work place and with your family.
Do you commute to work? Many people do and this can be a huge time sink, but you may not be using the fastest route even though it could be the most practical. Try analyzing your route and pinpointing where you could save a few minutes, avoid busy areas where there are likely to be traffic such as town centers.
If you have something do that you don't really enjoy doing, then do it as soon as you can. Don't put it off as you waste more time just waiting to do it. Get the boring jobs done first and enjoy the fun things in life later.
Make goals on what you want to achieve that day, this way you will achieve what you need to and feel satisfied in the end. Writing down goals will make you more likely to achieve them. You can also set timers on your phone to go off and remind you if you need to do something. Planning on a piece of paper which order you want to do things will get things done faster too, stick it somewhere you can see it and tick things off as you do them.
When running errands, know exactly what you need and where you need it from. Find the best route to go and stick to it, try not to get distracted and go somewhere you don't need to go, this just wastes time and energy.
Don't let yourself get distracted, if you need to do something then do it. Don't turn on the TV or radio just get down to work. If you work from home create a clear desk space, all i have on my desk is my computer and a piece of paper with what my goals are for each day.
Time management is simple when you think things through, always think what order you need to get things done and stick to it. You can easily create hours of spare time to spend with your family and friends.
