Time Management:
Time Management Skills for Getting Jobs Done Faster

Many of us find ourselves at some point or another with an important task that we need to do. Sometimes we put these tasks off for a week, or months, without managing to make any progress with it at all. However, I have come up with a few different suggestions for time management strategies that will help with finishing your task for good.

The first option and the most ideal would be to find someone who will complete it for you. Most of the tasks that I have hated often involved activities that I was not good at. However, I found that everyone has different abilities and skills. For every activity that I might do poorly, there is someone else that might live near me that is able to excel with it, and might even enjoy it. This being said I found that I was able to hire others to help with the completion of tasks that I just hated. This is a great relief. I was able to get the job done without having to do any of it myself.

If money is an issue for you and you aren't able to pay someone to do your task, then you might still have a chance at getting someone else to do it. You can use what is known as a barter system. You might be able to find something you can do for them - maybe a job that they dread - in exchanging for them doing your task for you.

If you are unable to find anyone who will take on the task for you then you might need to make the task a bit more manageable so you can do it yourself. You will want to break down the task that you are faced with into sub-projects that are smaller. You will want to work to be able to complete each of these sub-projects in a time span of thirty minutes. For tasks that are extremely big you might find that you have to divide it up into jobs that are even smaller until you can complete each on in the thirty minute time frame discussed above. You will then want to try to make your goal to complete one part of the task each day. If you do this you will find you can finish the project within weeks.

If there isn't a way that is logical for you to break down the project you will want to set a goal that is based on time. You can work on your task for thirty minutes every day, until you finish it. For the first day you might only want to work on the project for seven minutes. This will give you time to decide what you will do the following day during your thirty minute time span.

These time mamagement strategies can help you get your important tasks accomplished sooner.
