Time Management:
Time Management Skills Training For Entrepreneurs

Let's face it, the ultra successful people deal with even more constraining deadlines, challenges and things they need to get done than the average bear and achieve so much more. How do they do it and keep sane? I am on a quest for world domination so as you can imagine, time management is a very important skill for me to have. I have completed some research and found 4 tips that can help put you back in control and in the drivers seat.

1) Break through the misconception of time itself. Everyone gets the same amount of time as everyone else. You know the deal, twenty-four hours a day. Focus your energy on how you can manage yourself better. You cannot bend time or change it. As the saying goes- 'Time waits for no man'.

'If your not first your last' Quote from Telladega Nights. You need to consider yourself as a very expensive fine tuned formula one car. If you don't get the right fuel (food), maintenance (sleep) and time on the track (exercise) how can you race against the elite? Taking care of your health will create the right focus and energy to get what you need done. How can you have a disciplined mind if your body isn't in check?

2) Grab 'overwhelm' by the scruff of the neck and tell him to back off!! You need to be hell bent on scheduling time for everything. Schedule time for managing information i.e. training and reading personal development books. Select time to be creative. Create a journal where you can keep track of what you complete so you can access how effective you have been and work to improve yourself. Organising yourself and your work, rest and play provides no space for overwhelm to hang around.

3) Identify what steals your time. What are you allowing in your life that stops you from completing income producing activities? If you're most productive in the mornings, is their distractions that get in the way from allowing you to complete the activities you need done? (Now refer to point two and schedule a time for them).

4) Your environment. Always have a clean and organised working space. It removes the clutter that creates a visual distraction. Find different locations within your home or local community that you can go to help you get into the right frame of mind. Maybe sitting in a cafe or library allows you to be most creative or allows you to stay focused when reading instead of being in a park. Find what works for you and your Internet connection.

Bonus tip 5: Create your goal and work backwards in bite size chunks.

When you have your goal in clear view, work backwards and right down what smaller steps you need to complete to get you your desired result. Once you bring it back into bite size chunks you then schedule these actions in your 'to do' list and then monitor your results. This creates a template of what you need to get done and you can monitor your progress and adjust accordingly. The true benefit I believe by approaching the actions to achieve your goal in this way helps you to stay on track of your goals because your keeping your goals in line with your actions. Every night you're not creating a whole new list for the next day, you actually have your key income producing activities in priority already and make slight adjustments to other actions in need.

Time Management is the corner stone on how an online entrepreneur can manage their time effectively to help them achieve the lifestyle they want. These steps help you to start living life on your terms. Let's face it the more successful you are, the more momentum you build, equals more time for rest and play.
