Time Management:
Time Management Courses - Ten Ways to Make Your Time Count

Would you like to take control of your time management? Or do you think that is impossible? You are right if you believe no one controls time. But you certainly can control the actions you do with the time you have. So if you are looking for ways to find more time for yourself or find ways to use your time more efficiently you will enjoy these ten tips.

Make a Daily List of your most important activities

Number your list and decide on what item is the most important to accomplish first. Work on that item until complete and then check it off your list and go to the next item on your list.

Create a Daily Action Plan

By forming a plan of action you will save time and have an easy path to follow so you will not have to waste time deciding what step to take next.

Schedule Your Most Important Tasks First

Not only do you want to schedule your most important task first but you also want to schedule the things which you have the most control over first. So if you have two equally important tasks choose to do the one you have the most control over first.

Realize that you will not have time to do everything

Being realistic about life and unexpected events you need to recognize that you just might not be able to do everything you want to do. With that in mind use time management to allocate as much of your time as possible on the activities that you truly feel are in line with your values and goals.

Schedule less Activities

If you have a long list of activities such as taking the kids to school, getting the car worked on, having lunch with a friend, reading some uplifting information, shopping for food, visiting a sick person and paying bills you may feel too rushed and likely not have a good time - so see if you can schedule fewer things and increase the joy in your life.

Be Prepared for the Unexpected

Allow time for unexpected events. Therefore it you think it will take you 10 minutes to get to an appointment, schedule 15 or 20 minutes in case you run into some unexpected delay. Leave a portion of your day unscheduled - then you will be in position to deal with unforeseen events and not feel frustrated.

Use Travel Time

If you have to travel every day or any time you drive in your car or vehicle you can use that time to listen to audio tape or the news. If you are on a bus or train you can use that time to read or even meditate on positive affirmations.

Get the most unpleasant task out of the way as soon as possible

If you dread doing something, then by getting it done and out of the way will free you up to feel better about the rest of the day. You then will not be stuck with worrying or agonizing over doing an unpleasant task all day.

Be adaptable Be Flexible

Be willing to change and willing to adapt to new circumstances and situations as they may arise. Try to keep an open mind and be willing to experiment and look for new ideas. You may find being flexible especially important if you are in business.

Look for synergistic Connections

Spend a portion of each day putting your thoughts on paper. Then analyze the ideas to see if you can use them to synergistically improve the efficiency and quality of your personal and business relationships.

If you have a business it is helpful to time management to review ways you can outsource, delegate, automate or partner with someone else to save time and money.

By consistently utilizing you time management and resources more effectively you are guaranteed a greater measure of wealth, health and peace of mind.
