Time Management:
Procrastination, The Enemy of Progress and Achievement - Time Management Classes

Of all my faults, of which I have many, procrastination is probably the worst. It is frustrating for me as well as those around me. I do not even know why I do it. Which I know sounds really stupid. I know I have to do something so why do I not just get it done?

I know that as a rule it only has to done once, so why do I not just get it over and done with? Sometimes the reason is something simple like it is a dreaded task, like ironing or filling out that long form. But is it not better to get it over and done with so then you can forget about it and do the things you enjoy.

And if there is a deadline you can make matters worse because you leave yourself less time in which to do it. Increasing stress on yourself and ruining your time management.

Maybe it is just plain fear like going to the dentist, not one of my favourite places! But again by putting it off you just make matters worse. A filling turns into a bigger one or even an extraction.

But mostly, for me anyway, it is fear about not knowing how to do something or getting it wrong. I suppose you would call it fear of failure. But how do you know until you try? You have to get out there and at least give it a go. And if you make a mistake you learn from it. If you feel foolish you will get over it and not do that again. That is just one of those learning curves you have read so much about. The world is really not going to end. And who knows you may be great at it. It could be your thing, where your talent lies. But you will never know unless you try

Let us be grateful that Edison did not procrastinate or we would all be sat in the dark!

Do you want to waste your life by procrastinating? When you are eighty do you want to look back and wished you had done that bungee jump? Or wished you had lived your life instead of being cautious and always taking the safe option?

No one ever got rich or achieved anything by being safe and cautious.

If you want to change your life you have to implement time management strategies, stop procrastinating, and get on with it. Do not think I will do that tomorrow because tomorrow never comes.

Do it today. Even better, do it now.

So take your courage in both hands. Face your fears.

Make a decision and act upon it.

Take action and change your life today.
