5 Surefire Time Management Seminar Techniques To Boost Productivity And Get Results

People can get engrossed in the details of their lives and chase the next big thing without finding time to complete the projects they previously started. When faced with all of their incomplete projects, they often become overwhelmed and start to procrastinate. You will find that their productivity decreases and they do not produce the results or environment you are used to seeing. What are the things on your list of things that need to get done?

There are several things that can be done to boost productivity and increase positive results:

1. Capture It. Designate specific times during your day to check email, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media. These can be time wasters, especially when you get into a conversation or await responses.

2. Leave It. Let the voicemail or answering machine take a message when you are working on projects. You can call people back at a time that is convenient for you. Better yet, ask people to leave a good time for you to return their call. Turn off your email notification or "bing" alert.

3. Write It. Keep a notebook and pen handy for those great ideas and the things you need to get done. Writing things down gets the ideas out of your head and onto paper. You will get more done when you see it in the front of you.

4. Do It. Dedicate the beginning of your day to your most dreaded tasks - you know the ones you may have been avoiding. As you accomplish these tasks, you will be motivated to conquer many other things in your day.

5. Recharge It. Take 5 -10 minute mini-breaks throughout your day. Stretch. Go for a walk. Splash cool water on your face. Close your eyes for a moment and do some deep breathing. You will be surprised how refreshed these mini-breaks make you feel so you can challenge the task at hand.

6. Tidy It. Set aside 15 minutes at the end of each day to tidy your desk and prepare for the next day. Make a list of who you will call, email or delegate items to, in order to get your "to-do" list done.

Not only should you see an increase in productivity, but you should get more results - better results. Your motivation and drive will also increase as you reap the rewards of positive results.
