At home or the office, issues of time management will need to be addressed because most of the time that is the root of the problem. Multi tasking can be effective, but only when you combine the right things at the right time so a good place to begin is by sorting out any conflicts by organizing those activities you would like to undertake.
There are things you can do with time management to make hectic mornings go smoothly. Preparing lunches and readying the coffee maker the evening before will help immensely. On the weekend, choose all outfits to be worn during the week and place them in a designated area. Organization is the key to time management and relevant to the forming of good habits. Other parents insist that homework be completed immediately upon their arrival.
Prepare them with a quiet environment for completing homework and stock it with the appropriate supplies. You may also consider the use of a timer. Designate the same time each evening for completing homework so it becomes routine. While they work you can sort through the book bag for parental information. Urge them to keep their bags neat and organized, however this may be a challenge. Tell children that excuses will be written only when they require further help from the teacher. The night before school, have the kids take baths and lay out their clothing for the next day. Purchase lunch tickets as far in advance as possible to lessen the need to write checks. Calm morning chaos by taking advantage of available quick and nutritious breakfast foods. Continue in the future to set up what you can the night before to avoid the dreaded morning rush. No one is efficient when running around in a panic. Streamlining your morning with time management can lead to a happier day.
